Bejeweled2 is the sequel to the tile-matching game that took the internet by storm. Five methods of game play exist, ranging from standard to speed rounds. Eliminate jewels from a full screen by moving them one spot to form a row with the same type of jewel. New jewels drop into the screen as rows are cleared. Long rows award bonus points and can usher in the next level.

Bookworm

String together letter tiles to create words in Bookworm, a combination of Scrabble and Tetris. Longer words score more points and allow more new letters to drop into the screen. Burning red tiles appear and must be used before they reach the bottom or it’s game over. Green, gold and sapphire tiles appear to provide bonus points when included in a word.
Availability: PC, Mac, iPhone / iPod Touch, Mobile, Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSi, Online

Peggle

Peggle is a brightly colored puzzle game that requires players to shoot balls at specially marked pegs on the screen. There is a ball limit for each level, making it necessary to plan shots carefully. Peggle Masters can be activated for game assistance and added style points.

Plants vs. Zombies

The dead have risen and they’re heading for the house! Use pellet firing plants, barrier rocks and the power of sunshine to fend off hordes of zombies in Plants vs. Zombies. Each level offers the chance to acquire a new weapon, which advance along with the difficulty of the game. The comedic elements and cartoon-like graphics have made this PopCap game an instant classic.
