I am a huge proponent of protecting your smartphone. Smartphones aren’t cheap to replace if they aren’t insured and you never know when something strange is going to happen like accidentally dropping your iPhone out of a 2nd story window or you leave your iPhone on the back of your car when you drive off (my husband did this, not me). Enough said. Having been through 4 or 5 iPhones, with two having shattered, I want a reliable, sturdy, but stylish case to protect my iPhone. It is possible that Ducati and Element Case have created just that.
Lamborghini subsidiary and premium motorcycle manufacturer Ducati teamed up with Element Case to create impact-resistant iPhone cases. I imagine an iPhone case that has anything to do with Ducati and Element Case is pretty solid.
The case line up will cover the Apple iPad (4), the iPad mini and the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S.
Ducati’s lightweight polycarbonate cases for the iPhone include the Solace, a streamlined case that mirrors the style of its motorcycles, as well as the rugged looking cases, the Rogue and the Ion5, made with shock absorbing polymers, created for those looking for a case focused on protecting their smartphone from violent impacts; like what motorcycle racers might experience perhaps?
The Ducati line will have the classic Ducati insignia as well as components found in the famous motorcycle manufacturing. Ducati also developed a special mounting system that will work with Ducati motorcycles.
Pricing has not been revealed for the cases, but they are all scheduled to be released in February on the Ducati website and through Ducati dealers in the U.S., China, Dubai and Italy. From what I’ve read pricing will range from $50 to $200.
