Cabinet Depth Refrigerator – Fits Seamlessly to Your Kitchen

The Samsung RB195ACPN is a cabinet-depth (sometimes called counter-depth) refrigerator which means that is has been designed and built to fit seamlessly into modern kitchen cabinets and fittings.  As a result you won’t get any ugly looking angles jutting out (not that the Samsung would ever look ugly!) and your kitchen will look sleek, modern, and very contemporary.

There is a draw-back to this being a cabinet depth model though – and that’s the fact that you will have to make a slight concession to the amount of internal capacity and storage you have – as a result the Samsung RB195ACPN refrigerator is only available in an 18 cubic foot of capacity model.

One aspect that is worth the money is the automatic defrosting capabilities.  Don’t worry about having annoying ice overflows from the freezer compartment because the designers at Samsung have come up with something called Auto De-Frost.  If the fridge gets too cold then the temperatures will adjust automatically meaning your food is always kept at the optimum level.

No Water Dispenser

Unlike many refrigerators of this size, the Samsung RB195ACPN does lack an external ice maker and water filter dispenser.  However, there is an ice maker inside the fridge unit so you won’t go without the perfect accompaniment to a cold and refreshing drink.  If you are prepared to pay a little bit more then higher range Samsungs do come with this – but given the low price point of this model you can’t expect to get everything.

If you look on Amazon then you will see that the Samsung gets a very high 4.5 stars out of 5 in their customer reviews.  It’s one of the most affordable refrigerators on the market in 2012 and has a beautiful stainless steel finish – plus makes very good use of the internal space.  It’s a superb buy for the money – and whilst there are some aspects lacking, it’s very unlikely that you will pick up anything of a similar quality for the price.  Expect to pay just over $1000 US Dollars for this fridge freezer.

Don’t you hate it when you put your glass under an ice dispenser, push the dispenser button and next thing you know, there are 20 ice cubes in your glass and on the floor? That’s what happens when I use my mom’s ice dispenser. Like anything, I got used to it over time.

Now that I have a beautiful Frigidaire Gallery Refrigerator with an ice dispenser at my house I can actually limit the number of ice cubes that come out! If I want one ice cube, I tap my glass against the dispenser and one ice cube comes out! It’s awesome. I know this sounds trivial but I hate it when ice cubes come pouring out of the dispenser and fill up the glass so fast that they can’t all fit and then they end up on the floor.

So I’ve been using my new Frigidaire appliances for about a month now and am LOVING all of them. Each of them has saved me time in one way or another and I am excited to tell you that my Frigidaire range has saved me more time than I imagined.. partly because of my 9 year old and partly because of its amazing features.

Sebastian, my 9 year old, absolutely loves using our new Frigidaire range and I appreciate that a whole lot which SAVES me time!   So far, he’s made pancakes, macaroni and cheese, and roasted potatoes.. after I cut and prepared the potatoes of course.

What’s interesting is the following:
* Did he cook before we got our new range? Uh, no.
* Did he prepare food before we got our new range? Uh, no.
* What gives? Let’s see.. maybe it’s the Quick Boil feature? The shiny stovetop surface? The 5 racks in the oven? The huge capacity? The 5 stovetop burners? I don’t know!?

I’ve had a great time with my new Frigidaire appliances. I buy more food, cook more (we don’t live off hummus and carrots anymore!), and have washed more laundry than ever.  I can’t wait for my new dishwasher!   I am much more motivated to do laundry on a regular basis, and to cook since I have a new refrigerator, range, microwave, and washer and dryer.  I’m so much more motivated to do laundry now that I know I’m going to see a brand new shiny red Affinity washer and dryer than I was when I was using a 20+ year old washing machine and several year old dryer.
